Considering recent modifications in the Department of Defense's contracting procedures, our agenda will focus on strategizing ways to enhance technology, processes, and communication to align with the agile methodologies now being adopted across all branches of the military. Furthermore, we will examine the implications of the Fiscal Year 2024 NDAA, signed into law last December, with a particular emphasis on the amendments to Section 229, which concentrates on Emergent Technology Advancements or Threats. In addition, AFCEA will open a dialogue about some of the current methods being used to address the disparities between the traditional lifecycle of public procurement and the rapid pace of emerging technology, ensuring that our defense capabilities remain at the forefront of modern warfare and security measures.
