Cloud From the Data Center to the Edge
A Luncheon About the DOD’s Vision and Strategy for Achieving Information Dominance
Wednesday, September 10, 2025 | 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM ET
This program is essential for anyone in DoD, GovCon, or industry tasked with cloud strategy, DevSecOps, edge compute, or mission operations. Attendees will gain deeper insight into:
- DoD’s evolving cloud playbook: from strategy to execution
- Critical enablers like FedRAMP 20x, cloud FinOps, and enterprise software licensing
- How cloud empowers speed‑to‑mission in contested, data-intensive environments
As the Department of Defense (DOD) aggressively pursues cloud modernization, its focus has shifted from enterprise-level capabilities (JWCC) to mission-critical advancements at the tactical edge and software delivery layer. The DOD and Intelligence Community (IC) are collecting rapidly increasing amounts of data from around the world and processing that data is creating significant demands on critical infrastructure. Leveraging hybrid computing from JWCC to the edge will give warfighters the decision-superiority edge they need. Systems and networks are evolving to be more connected and autonomous and the senior DOD and IC leaders at this luncheon will share their vision and activities that are accelerating hybrid cloud architectures to provide the right information to the right person at the right time.
At this luncheon, a senior DoD leader will open the dialogue on the department’s cloud journey—from deploying multi-vendor cloud environments supporting JADC2 to launching tactical “cloud mesh” architectures (Stratus & JOE) and launching “Cloud One Next” to streamline applications.
