ABOUT AFCEA DC
AFCEA DC is the Washington, DC chapter of AFCEA International. Established in 1946, AFCEA is a membership-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing knowledge in information technology, communications, and electronics for the defense, homeland security, and intelligence communities. For more than 75 years, the association has provided a trusted environment for collaboration among military, government, and industry, ensuring that technology and strategy effectively support those who serve.
The Washington, DC Chapter focuses primarily on the Department of War, the Intelligence Community, Fourth Estate, Homeland Security, and national security issues.

For 50 years, the AFCEA DC Winter Gala has served as the must-attend social gathering of the year. This December, we celebrate our Golden Jubilee by bringing together an elite assembly of over 1,500 senior-level DoW officials, Military Flag Officers, and Federal IT and cyber decision-makers alongside the industry executives who power their mission.

Each year, the Military IT & Cybersecurity Leadership Awards brings together 250 senior DoW, Joint Staff and MilDep Officers to recognize, honor, and celebrate an outstanding enlisted and uniformed officer from each branch of the military and joint community who have made a significant contribution to the warfighter mission in the areas of IT and cybersecurity.
