1ST Lt Kylie Powers is Plans and Resources Flight Commander at the 19th Communications Squadron, Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas. She serves as the Plans and Resources Flight Commander, leading 29 personnel across five sections to manage three base by-law programs, communications security (COMSEC), and comprehensive project management for Little Rock Air Force Base. Her flight drives base-level cyberspace and telecommunications planning, guiding system requirements from validated mission needs to on-budget implementation while managing all wing information system agreements. Additionally, her team oversees the Contracting Officer Representatives (COR), Spectrum and Circuit Actions, as well as Data Operations for wing-wide SharePoint, Records Management, and FOIA programs. Through her leadership, she ensures rigorous classified handling standards, seamless network engineering assistance, and the timely acquisition of new cyberspace capabilities to support user needs.
1st Lt Powers entered the Air Force in May 2023. She was commissioned through University of South Florida and graduated Cyber Warfare Training in April 2024. Prior to her current position, she served as the Client Focal Point Section Lead, where she ensured reliable hardware, software, and systems access crucial for the Air Force's premier C-130 combat airlift mission. These roles have provided key contributions to mission success through enhanced communication capabilities and strategic project execution.
