Staff Sergeant Wesley R. Kephart is a Cyber Defense Craftsman assigned to the Defense Information Systems Agency, Joint Staff Support Center as a Non-Commissioned Officer, Pentagon, Washington District of Columbia.

Staff Seargent Kephart was born in Tennessee in October 1991. After graduating high school in 2010, he subsequently enlisted in the Air Force in 2014 and arrived at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, on 01 July of that same year for basic training. Upon graduation, he went to his technical training in September 2014 and graduated April 2015. His first assignment was to the 89th Communication Squadron on Joint-Base Andrews, Maryland, in May 2015 serving as a High Frequency Global Communication System Administrator. In July 2017, he received an assignment to the Defense Intelligence Agency Headquarters on Joint-Base Anacostia Bolling, Washington District of Columbia, where he served as a Network Operations Technician. After three years, he received orders Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota in August 2020 where he served many roles, including: the 319th Maintenance Squadron as the RQ-4B Production Supervisor, the 319th Operations Group as the Lead Technical Order Distribution Officer and the 319th Communications Squadron as the Bravo Shift Non-Commissioned Officer-in-Charge for the High Frequency Global Communication System. After four years, he received his current orders to the Pentagon in August 2024. He is a Communications Watch Office NCO advising 5 General Officers (GOs) on global communications functions, outages, nuclear and national military
C2 operational statuses supporting strategic deterrence and direct decision-making for POTUS, SecWar, CJCS, and 11 CCMDs in the National Military Command Center.

Staff Seargeant Kephart is an active volunteer in and around his local area, donating his time at the Armed Forces Retirement Home - DC, a head coach for Little League baseball, as well as dedicating philanthropic contributions on behalf of the Congressional Club Museum and Foundation.

His noteable military awards include the Joint Service Achievement Medal, Nuclear Deterrence Operations Service Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters) and the Air and Space Commendation Medal. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Intelligence Analysis and a Master’s Degree in Cyber Intelligence, both from American Public University System. He is a proud husband to his wife and dedicated father to his three children.
